Ashtamangal means it’s a symbol of Eight Auspicious Signs related to the number of religions. There are eight different signs in Ashtamangal and each sign refers to different meanings related to life. It is an antique piece use as a decorative item by filling with water and some beautiful flowers.
A Khadkulo is a traditional Nepali vessel, usually crafted from copper or brass, that has been used for centuries in rituals, cultural events, and as a household item. Its wide, round mouth and deep body make it ideal for holding water, flowers, or offerings during puja ceremonies.
Beyond its religious use, the Khadkulo is also admired as a piece of handmade Nepali artistry. Each one is carefully shaped and finished by local artisans, often decorated with cultural motifs such as the Ashtamangal (Eight Auspicious Symbols) that represent good fortune, spiritual balance, and protection.
Today, Khadkulos are used both in Hindu and Buddhist traditions as a vessel for offerings, and also as a decorative centerpiece in modern homes. Whether placed on an altar, filled with flowers, or displayed as a cultural keepsake, a Khadkulo carries the essence of Nepal’s heritage and craftsmanship.
The other types of Khadkulo are : Copper Butte Khadkulo, Copper Ashtamangal Khadkulo
