Known particularly as an ornament of Lord Shiva, rudraksha mala is made of seeds of a specific tree called Elaeocarpus ganitrus that are found abundantly in the Himalayan Region of Nepal, home of Lord Shiva. These malas are usually preferred by Hindus with deep faith in Lord Shiva and used as protection and blessings for well being from Lord Shiva himself. Traditionally, used for meditation and Japa, it is believed that it promotes fame, peace, and prosperity and dissolves karma and fear.
