Thangka
Thangka is a classical and stylised form of Nepalese and Tibetan painting on cotton, supported by scroll sticks. Tibetian Thangka mainly depicts important Buddhist motifs, images of the Buddha, other Buddhist deities and mandalas.
Thangkas serve as an aid to teaching for Buddhist followers. It communicates a message to Buddhist practitioners. Each Thangka painting has a detailed art work, each detail is filled with either valuable meaning or historical events. It also serves as a meditation tool to help bring one down to the path of enlightenment.
